Criteria for Admission:

  • ​Ages 6 to 17 years; parent or guardian is required to be on site with youth under 18 

  • Individual must be voluntary and willing to engage in treatment

  • Medically stable (no life-threatening medical conditions requiring emergency care)

  • Experiencing emotional or behavioral health concerns that require same-day assessment

  • Having escalating symptoms that can likely be stabilized within five hours or less

Examples may include:

  • Significant anxiety, panic, or emotional distress

  • Behavioral outbursts or severe mood changes

  • School refusal related to emotional concerns

  • Recent increase in depression symptoms

  • Family conflict related to behavioral health needs

Child Behavioral Urgent Care

Who is this service intended for:  

For children and adolescents ages 6–17 who need short-term, same-day support to address emerging behavioral health concerns before they escalate into a crisis.

Children experiencing a medical emergency, overdose, loss of consciousness, or immediate danger to themselves or others should go directly to the nearest emergency room or call 911.

Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Services and scope of care:

  • Health Status Assessment

    • medical, mental health, substance use

  • Medication Management

  • Family/Guardian and Individual Counseling

  • Care Coordination

  • Transportation assistance available.

Parent or guardian is required to be on site with youth under 18 

Criteria for Admission:

​To be admitted, individuals must meet specific criteria. First any medical conditions or injuries that can be managed within the facility’s capabilities will be, ensuring that the necessary care can be provided safely.

 

The expectation is that the presenting issue can be addressed and resolved within a five-hour window. It’s also important that the individual is seeking treatment voluntarily.
