Treehouse Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF)
Now Open in Wayne County Southeastern Michigan

Hegira Health, Inc. is proud to introduce our new Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF)—a short‑term, comprehensive residential mental health program designed for children and adolescents ages 9–17 who require 24‑hour support in a structured, therapeutic, home‑like environment.

Located in Wayne County, Southeastern MI, the PRTF was created to meet a growing community need for youth who no longer require acute inpatient psychiatric care but need more support than outpatient services can offer.

What We Provide

Our program delivers individualized, family‑centered treatment that is:

Serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance

  • Evidence‑based and measurement‑driven

  • Trauma‑informed and culturally responsive

  • Coordinated with schools, families, and community partners

A multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, nurses, clinicians, BCBAs, behavioral health technicians, and social workers—provides round‑the‑clock care with a 1:4 staffing ratio.

Program Highlights

  • Four‑bed residential program for youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED)

  • Daily therapeutic programming and psychiatric oversight

  • Individual, group, and family therapy

  • Behavioral analysis and specialized treatment planning

  • Nursing services seven days a week

  • Recreation, wellness, and life‑skills development

  • Educational coordination per Michigan special education guidelines

  • Comprehensive case management and robust discharge planning

Our Goal

To equip each young person and their family with the support, skills, and stability needed for a successful return to home or community living—typically within 90–180 days.

Referrals & Eligibility

The PRTF serves youth with primary mental health diagnoses and significant functional impairment who do not require acute inpatient care. Admission requires coordination with Michigan’s PIHP system. The program is funded through a direct contract with MDHHS.
