It’s back-to-school season – backpacks, supplies, new clothes – it’s all part of the excitement of going back to school after summer break. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), it’s important to recognize that preparing for the new school year isn’t just about having the right supplies; it’s also about ensuring mental wellness, a critical tool for mastering the upcoming academic year.

Each June, we recognize PTSD Awareness Month to increase understanding of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), reduce stigma, and support those affected by trauma.

Each May across the U.S., we observe Mental Health Awareness Month to educate the public, highlight the importance of mental well-being, and advocate for better mental health care and resources.
