HEGIRA HEALTH SERVICES DURING COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

Are you taking new clients?

Yes, we are open and continue to take new and returning clients You can contact our Pre-Admission office at 734-793-5026, Monday – Friday from 9am-6pm. We will connect you to a therapist or service that best fits your needs.

What times are you open?

Most of our outpatient clinics are open for onsite services Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., some clinics may have later hours certain days of the week. You can speak to your therapist or case manager to schedule a time for an appointment if you are currently receiving services.  Arrangements will be available for in person or onsite/remote teletherapy services.   

 

Will I still see my doctor?

Yes. Your prescriber may be available to see you either onsite or in person through our Hegira Health LIVE Teletherapy Services. Your prescriber can talk with you preferably through videoconference or on your computer or mobile device or on the phone.  

 

How will I get my injections?

Your time for your injection will be scheduled at the clinic. This process has not changed. You will continue to see your nurse for the injection. Your prescriber will see you through videoconference on your computer or mobile device or by telephone.

Where do I go if I am having a crisis?

If you are having a crisis and you are an adult, you will still go to COPE (Community Outreach for Psychiatric Emergencies) located at 33505 Schoolcraft Road, Livonia, MI 48150 or call COPE at 844-296-2673. Children can receive crisis services by contacting New Oakland Family Services at 1-877-800-1650. You can also call/text the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988 or chat 988lifeline.org. You are as well encouraged to follow your crisis/safety plan if you have one. 

 

Will you be communicating with others involved in my care?

Yes, we can still communicate with others who have been involved in your care. Your supports can be invited to your appointments. 

 

I am court-mandated, can I still receive services?

Yes. You can still receive services. Your therapist will continue to send your Progress Reports to your court contact.

Is my information confidential? 

State and federal laws guarantee your treatment is confidential except under certain circumstances. Please discuss this further with your therapist when we can and cannot keep information confidential.  

 

Can I bring my emotional support animal to my appointment? 

Only certified service animals are allowed in the buildings.  

 

Can I record my sessions? 

Use of recording devices (audio or video) is strictly prohibited on Hegira Health properties, unless specifically consented to in writing by all parties.  

 

Can my children remain in the lobby while I get services? 

All children under the age of 12 must have adult supervision.  

Accepting New Patients

Most insurance and managed care programs are accepted. A sliding fee scale is offered for those who are uninsured.
